The Science: The 180-Degree Problem


Natural carnauba wax begins to break down and melt at roughly 160°F to 180°F.

That sounds high, but think about a black car parked at the St. Johns Town Center or in a driveway in the 32258 area during a sunny afternoon. The surface temperature of your hood can easily exceed 200°F.
